Founded by Vince and Wendy Kennedy, a chemist and an art teacher, the company's first paint was a student-grade acrylic called "Createx Poster & Fabric Paint". As the paint's performance onto fabric was excellent with a soft-hand feel on fabric, the company's brand was decided as "Createx", being the combination of create & textile. This would later become a hallmark of its "Createx Airbrush Colors" paint launched in the early 1990s.

With its revolutionary performance, bright & lightfast pigmentation, and permanent results, Createx received global success and recognition. Now manufacturing several brands of paints, Createx continues to surpass expectations of what a great paint should be. Dedicated to continuously exploring developments in water-based coatings technologies, Createx is always evolving. Made in East Granby, CT, Createx strives to make the best water-based paints in the world.
